that looks kinda fake the way it goes around the sides of the bottom dock thing. but i was afraid it was one of the smaller files that was either tiled or stretched. if thats the case someone will have to modify a system file or plist or something

very well could be a fake then, it seems though it should be a pretty straight forward mod, that and the dock bar. I'll give it a shot in a couple of hours when i get home from work

Just kidding. You change the DisplayOrder.plist file.

If your talking about the very top one dbass. the one with the att symbol and the signal strength then it is one of the two... FSO_BG.png or FST_BG.png in springboard.app

When you do background and default background.. Those files are dedicated to the Stock and weather pages. Look there on your phone and you will find the image you edited. I STILL cant find the "actual" Main page background image. Im stumped.
The rest of my phone is skinned in Louis Vitton now though lol

It might be in a framework plist file somewhere telling the bg to be black.

thats what i figured. i made a post asking for all the springboard plist files and .string files but nobody has posted them for me yet
