icon size limitation ios4

Hi, I've been searching around for awhile,
some posts do ask my same question but no solid help.

so, on ios4, witerboard theming for large icons are disabled.
I am aware of one of the solutions to put the icon in : var/stash/theme.XXXXX/"your theme name"/icons, this lets icons display properly if they're more than 114x144, but the problem is that it is low res. I want to know if anyone has a solution to display a large retina icon properly on ios4.

i've tried : var/stash/theme.XXXXX/"your theme name"/bundles/com.apple.phone/[email protected], this just shrinks the icon into a 114 by 114.

PS the directory and file names are from my memory, maybe not exact names. cbf checking

Thanks in advance, I also encourage devs to unoffically 'update' winterboard so large retina icons can be supported. it seems saurik is partying away too much

ohs and one more thing, can someone explain the @2x thing, i'm not that sure what it actually says to the system. so... without @2x system displays as double pixeled? dono...

the @2x is the file witch will be displayed if the device has a retina display
