Carrier Logo on 4.2.1

Is it possible to change it seen as makeitmine and fakecarrier doesnt work on the update im fed up of my scrolling orange/t-mobile thing and want my apple logo back, thanks all.

Make your carrier logos (70x40 px) in photoshop. You need two files, one for the black/transparent status bar and one for the white status bar. Mine are named [email protected] and [email protected] (drop the @2x for non-retina), i'm on AT&T so im not sure what tmobile is called. I am assuming it is pretty similar though.

SSH into your themes folder and go to the bundles/com.apple.ATT_US, Again not sure what tmobile would be but you should be able to find it if you previously had a carrier settings theme. Drop the two png files into that folder, respring and Enjoy

Wont work at all tried doing it manualy and still no joy, worked by using make it mine on 4.1 by renaming the image and renaming it in mim but it doesnt work on 4.2.1

Just anyone have any idea how to change to a custom image i downgraded to 4.1 yesterday and got it working but now the hdr enabler is out with the iphone 4 ringtones i want to upgrade again it only works in 4.1.2 but the carrier mod wont please help

T-Mobile should be Default_CARRIER_TMOBILE and FSO_CARRIER_TMOBILE (with the @2x for retina) and should be dropped into bundles/com.apple.Unkown.

Looks like Orange may be Default_CARRIER_Orange-UK.png and FSO_CARRIER_Orange-UK.png

I also don't have T-Mobile, or Orange, so I'm can't confirm this owrks but I've been able to get my logo to change on AT&T (in fact, just submitted two of them to Cydia), so I'm sure it's possible.

You just have to find the right carrier folder, you can change the logo for ANY carrier on any os by using SSH as long as you have the correct folder name. There are alot of different options for Orange and T-Mobile. Look for the UK ones, and make sure the image you use to replace the orignal is the same size.

Changed the size to the same as original then replaced all uk orange and t-mobile and then replaced with all the other orange aswel and in unknown and still nothing must be something to do with the new network combined signal.

i have 3gs fw 4.2.1 , "fake operator" work very good , but i want it change by image i want , can some body help me

All you have to do is change the N4AP.plst
Then if you have iTransformToiPod go into the theme then go into bundles, com.apple.springboard and edit the N4AP.plst there.
To edit the .plst files go to the bottom and under the text device name where it says iPod, put your own carrirer name.
If this doesn't work use it in conjunction with MIM, MyStrings and FakeOperator. (Then you can delete the apps)

There you go, a fully working iPod Touch 4.2.1 custom carrier!

even though it's a iPhone 3Gs? I get same issue with same operator on iPhone 4 I cannot for life of me change the text "orange" to the orange logo.

Picture logos only stay there until you get into an app. May there is a theme or system file interfering like how iTransformToiPod was

To change your carrier image ,download "http://www.4shared.com/file/2hR0Omjd/Patching_CommCenter_iOS_4_0.html" to patch your commcenter first.wat u do after downloading the zip file is extract it and u should have the deb file and pdf ones.You may read the pdf if u want.Browse into your iphone(assume its 3GS coz thats wat i have) root/var/root/media/Cydia/AutoInstall. if the Cydia/AutoInstall part is not present, create these directories manually and are case sensitive.After creating them ,copy the patching commcenter deb to here. Reboot your iphone.Now browse into Root/system/library/iphone/carrier bundles/unknown.bundles and place your custom FSO and DEFAULT png in there.replace the info and carrier plists with your edited ones if your carrier is unknown as mine was.Respring and ur done. This has been tested on IOS4.2.1. hope this helps.many ppl have had success already

I've been messing in the unknown.bundle folder and changed some settings in the carrier.plist. Unfortunately i wasn't aware of the signature check in FW 4.0> so now the file is screwed and i didn't make a backup..

Could you upload this original carrier.plist located in /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/Unknown.bundle/

I'm on a 3GS 4.2.1 JB.
