    Default Trouble with status bar themes

    I just jailbroke my iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1. All the themes and apps I've got work great except a few status bar themes. the specific themes I would like help with are "snail edge icon" "green apple 3G icon" "assorted colors signal bars" "green statusbar clock" and just about any keyboard theme lol. Every other theme I've used works and i even got the carrier themes and wifi icons to change but these ones won't change. Can anyone please help this dummy out? Lol

    With the ios 4 update, apple changed the names of the png files associated with the 3g and edge icons. To fix the theme, you need to ssh into your iPhone and go to the themes folder and create a subfolder called UIImages. Next go to the bundles/com.apple.springboard folder and copy the file in that folder and move them to the UIImages folder. Then just rename the files to the updated names.

    here is what to change the names to:

    FSO_EDGE_ON.png to Black_DataTypeEDGE.png
    Default_EDGE_ON.png to Silver_DataTypeEDGE.png

    3g:
    FSO_UMTS_ON.png to Black_DataTypeUMTS.png
    Default_UMTS_ON.png to Silver_DataTypeUMTS.png

    After you do that, your theme will work fine.

    Keyboards can not be changed in 4.x without editing .artwork files, which is to complicated to explain here. I have seen tutorials on how to do it and they had new .artwork files attached to the post. try to search for those posts.

    Hope this helps

    I've seen it done before. Something to do with the info.plist file. The theme I downloaded looks like this but is not working.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0"><dict>

    <key>TimeStyle</key>
    <string>color: green</string>

    </dict></plist>
