what you have to do is ssh into your phone, and find the user/applications folder, and inside each app folder look for Icon.png file...after making your new icon....name it the same as the one you are replacing, and put it back into that folder...then respring the phone to see new icon....im new at this too...lol hope this helps....you just have to look around a bit to find the folders....

Thanks Larry. What about if you are using an 'Icons' folder in the winterboard themes directory?
This how I am replacing some of the apps icons not updated in Glasklart.
For example the game Plants Vs. Zombies the icon needs to be call PvZ.png to work. But if you didn't know they in advance where would you find it?

Find your app that you want to change under user/applications, open PvZ.app and then open the info.plist , in here you'll see what to name the folder and icon.
com.popcap.PvZ
[email protected]
(for Plants vs Zombies)
