need the help of some experienced modders!
Hello ModMyI'ers! I am new to this game and I've learned a tremendous amount from this site! I have searched high and low for an answer to these questions/problems and I can't seem to find anything about them. I am running the Macbook Final 3.1 theme. Ever since I equipped it in Winterboard there is a funny goof up within the display of the native map application. When I search for a place the box that pops up with the name of that place is shaded in 2 different colors- dark gray and an even darker gray/black (see attached image). I assume that the theme I am running has changed this shading. Where/what would I be looking for in order to delete either the native map shading or the theme shading so it's one color only? Also, I have modded my slider area so that it is a thin red bar. When using the "slide to unlock" and "slide to power down" the graphic works correctly. When I receive a call that does not have a picture associated with it the red bar is inside of a shaded gray box, but when I do have a picture associated with a caller it is fine (see attached image). Can I get rid of that gray box that only shows up when receiving a non picture call? Sorry for the long post. I am at that point where if I can fix these 2 issues I am set up exactly the way I want to be. I am sure there are some other anal posters that can relate
Thanks in advance!!

Well im not really sure how this theme is exactly set up but ill give it a try.
alright for the slide bar, i believe making the red shaded area a few pixels taller might work(or edit the image and crop the image down to just the red area, and then make it back to the size it was). Or try changing the part of the image that is responsible for the area on the outside of the red bar. I have no idea whether this is part of the lock background or the slide background area.
As for the map, i believe it is a UIImage. So look in the UIImages folder.(its the one for pop up messages).
UIPopupAlertSheetBackground.png i think you need to make yours longer so it wont repeat the image. Mine is 284x62 pixels and looks fine in the maps app. As well as everywhere else.OpenFient/Any other gametype: JBone1337

UIimages can be found in the theme folder so SSH to stash/themes/(your theme)/UIImages

^ There, OR some themes use older ways of folder management and use var/stash/themes/(your theme)/Folders/UIkit.framework (something close to that)
If you find neither then your theme has no UIImage changes, and you need to make your own folder at var/stash/themes/(your theme) and inside make a folder named UIImages.OpenFient/Any other gametype: JBone1337

got the background fixed! there was a background png in the katra weather lockscreen I was using that was throwing off the slider. now I have a new problem! look at the top where it lists an oncoming call. see how it isn't lined up and part of my apple pic is showing through? why is that?
I have attached the folder that you requested but didn't include the lockscreen png since I don't think you now need it.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP

o well i already made some stuff

this is the UIImage i use on my theme and i like it better.
Im not a photoshop pro or anything but here is the bottom slider fill w/o the gray line at bottom and the caller background. There are 3 of the caller backgrounds, the original, one with a gradient, and one with a cropped piece of your background. keep the one you want and delete the number and put it in the UIImages folder.
i shall look into the map problemLast edited by jbone1337; 02-27-2010 at 12:31 AM.

got the map thing and will upload it in zip in a sec.(Ok i made attachment in post above to .zip)
Ok i was testing things around, and the map thing looked like the popup message i had. But it was actually the stock one because i never changed it, because by the name of the UIimages i thought it had to do with the phone and i have an ipod.
So i just edited the images to see the differences in what they were by painting part of them with wood.

They all go in UIImages folderLast edited by jbone1337; 02-27-2010 at 12:28 AM.

amazing! so not to sound stupid, but where would these UI images go? in the UI folder of my theme? also, how do I make them gray, not wood?
if you look at my map picture it looks like the different UI parts that make up the map pop-up aren't lining up right (in yours they do). do you have any thought on how to fix that once I get them the right gray/black color?
::thanks given::
Nevermind got it!!! Deleted these 5 files from my themes folder and its perfect!!
since I have your attention, and you seem to know what youre doing, I need a hand making a status bar battery. When my phone is plugged in I have a mini duracell that pops up, but only when its plugged in. Any way to make that my battery all the time?
Last thing (promise LOL) what are you running to make your percentage like that? Meaning the script? Love it!Last edited by headcheese; 02-27-2010 at 04:22 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Sorry but i was just using the wood color to make it stand out for myself and you to see the different pieces and where they go ect. Wasn't making it good enough to copy and put in theme >.>
And again i have to remind you im not that good at photoshop but here is 2 sets of springboard batteries(one which is one that has a fill one just stays the deracell battery the whole time), a matching lockscreen battery, and the battery percentages.(to activate the percentages open SBSettings, click More, then Extras & Options, turn on numeric battery).
They all go in the com.apple.springboard folder. Just copy/paste what you want to your theme.OpenFient/Any other gametype: JBone1337

Thanks so much for going above and beyond for a stranger!
Hey bud...any chance that you have the percentage files in a gray instead of the black? I have a modded dark status bar and the text doesn't show well. if not I can try to photoshop it.
thanks again!!Last edited by headcheese; 02-27-2010 at 09:12 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Jbone!! Need a hand buddy...
So I changed the png files to light so it would match my dark status bar (kept the "low" ones red). My phone went to 20% last night for the 1st time since I installed this, and my homescreen numbers stayed white, and the others (in app, safari, etc) changed to red.
I understand the whole FSO/Default thing, but I cant figure out why its doing this. Files seem to be named correctly.
Help?
