    Default Stacks, Springjumps or Categories

What are the basic pro's and con's of using Stacks, Sprinjumps or Categories and which one do you prefer to use? Is one more buggy than the other? Is one more easier to use? Does one drain battery quicker? You get the picture. Thanks

stacks was never really productive on mac nor iphone. Categories is great. there are no real cons anymore especially when used in conjunction with categories SB. Springjumps isnt really an organization thing as much as just a fast access thing. Another good option is pogoplank. its like categories but packed into a wheel form and with quick access without having to go back and forth between folders.

    My 2 cents:

Stacks Pros: Fast access to your apps. Vertical scrolling, looks cool.
Stacks Cons: Can get a lil out of hand if you have a ton of apps in one stack. Set up takes a lil while but is easy after you figure it out.

    SJ Pros: Fast access
SJ Cons: You have to set up multiple pages of apps, set up can be a lil hard if you never used it before. Easy after a while.

Cat Pros: nice way to organize apps
Cat Cons: Kinda slow (for me), takes a lil bit to set up. stock icons are not that good.

Right now I'm using stacks. I have a Games, Apps, Tools, and Social stack icons on my dock. This makes it real easy to get to what I want. The best thing is that I only have 1 page which is the home page. No flipping through pages to get to what I want. Now I know that if I had SJ I wouldn't have to flip through the pages, but I still think that stack looks better.

I'd say it's really just a matter of what you like and what works for your theme. I've used them all, sometimes all three in one theme, and you just have to play around with them to see what fits your tastes.

I have not used Springjumps, so can't comment.

As for Stacks, it has lots of promise, but does not seem to be a priority for the developer. Has been in Alpha/Beta for a LONG time now.

I use Categories (w/ CategoriesSB) at the moment. Has been updated several times in the past few months and with the "SB" add-on, is very fast!

Sorry for bumping this up, but since the topic includes SprinJumps and Categories SB, I do have a question for both.

If your Categories are docked, you can go in and out of any docked folders willingly, but if your folder is not docked, then you have to hit your home button. The original plan for my theme was to incorporate SpringJumps in the Categories folder. This way, I'm not too limited to keep the folders in the Dock. Unfortunately, I'm unable to do this after finding out that you can't add SpringJumps icon in Categories folders. This somewhat limits the overall design, especially the nagivation part for a 1-page theme. My question is, is there a way to ssh multiple page jump icons in Categories? If there is a way, will it show up in any of the folders and is it themeable? Does Stacks have the same issue on SpringJumps as Categories SB? And of course, the same questions apply to Stacks regarding the issue.

    Thank you in advance.
