I've been trying to create a couple of additional icons in the iSmiley style (which are mostly based on stock icons), but can't for the life of me get that stock diagonal look right like the phone, sms, etc. My photoshop skills are minimal at best, but I'm trying to learn. Heck, I still haven't figured out how to get the base vector gradient color to change! I'm sure I'll figure that one out though.

I've seen plenty of icons around that have the diagonal style, including many in the iSmiley set, so someone (or a lot of people) must have figured it out. I have a .psd template that is great for the "ray" style (app store style) icons, and I'm using it some, but I just can't get a layer right that gives the diagonal effect.

If anyone has a .psd template for that look that I can use, or can point me to one (been googling for a couple of days), that would be fantastic!

Or even some instructions on how to create it would be appreciated.
