Custom Boot Logo
Is it possible to get a custom boot logo with out having to rejailbreak on 3.1.2?

No. You have to add to the firmware went it's built. Can't do it after the fact.

yeah, sorry for reposting this question it probably gets brought up all the time. I dont have a mac so I had to use blackra1n to jailbreak, is there anyway to do so with windows?

I meant getting a custom boot logo if you have windows, i know you can do it with pwnage tool but thats mac only, can you do it with blackra1n?

Make a NOR only restore of your IPSW and include the custom Boot logo's. I used to do this for 2.2.1 on my iPhone 3G. I dont remember how to make those anymore, since I havent made one in a long time, but try searching iPod Touch Fans. There were some posts there describing how to make a NOR only restore in order to flash custom logo's on an iPod Touch 2G (long before untethered jailbreak)

I guess it would help if I had a better understanding of what it is.

03-07-2010, 05:47 AM #16ALL: figured it out, in order to change boot logo ONLY, if you're already jailbroken (by whatever means, i.e. using Geohot's blackra1n on 3.1.2), redsn0w can still be used to change your boot logos, revert back to the stock logos, or switch verbose booting on and off. By selecting “Already Pwned” you can bypass the steps normally needed to enter the jailbroken state. Originally Posted by SGTB33FY
