How do I fix this lockscreen picture?

Hey Everyone,
I am stuck at making my lockscreen picture without the shading from the time/slider.

I used "The Best Clear Lockscreen" from cydia, but it made the clock/slider a lighter gray than the picture.

Help would be appreciated.

Edit: This is on my 3GS with 3.01.

I also just put this on my old 2G and the picture is perfect? Why?

Edit: Found to be QuickSMS. There is a setting for transparent background.
