Default Combine winterboard "stuff" in one folder

I have several componenets (pink notes, typewriter sounds, custom SMS bubbles, slider text, etc.) selected in winterboard.

Would it make a difference in speed if I combined all of them into one folder in winterboard? If so, how would I do it?

You would have to SSH into the phone and download all of the themes that you want to combine and combine them on your computer then upload them again.

Combining is the method that I use also, just cleaner. As far as speed, don't believe it will make a noticeable difference really. Your thoughts Neo?

The same as blkcadi. I combine everything together (I'm a neat freak ). No change in speed for me.

Any change would be minimal. I still think that the application of the themes is what slows down the phone so as long as you are still applying the same amount of stuff, it shouldn't be that different.

I combine too. Just for neatness. I don't like having a long list of things in Winterboard.

I had a slider theme overriding my lockscreen theme, which overrode my overall theme, which of course, overrode my stock settings. It seemed like a lot of levels, all of which Winterboard had to keep straight, not to mention all the other components I had. Maybe it wasn't necessary, but I also like being able to just enable one theme, not to mention being able to delete all the extra stuff I don't need.

Brigette, you asked how you could do this. I just used iphonebrowser (I'm on XP). It's small, quick, and easy. Even though you don't have to, I disable the theme that I'm modifying (I found that you can make a change while the theme is still active, then just re-spring). Just go into [Root]/Library/Themes. Find the parts you like of your various themes, right-click on them, and choose "Save As" and put them on your hard drive. I made a collection of the pieces and parts I wanted, and for my first run I just put the stuff I liked in the appropriate places of the main theme I was using (dragging and dropping from Windows Explorer to iphonebrowser).

I'm sure there are better and smarter ways to do this, but this was so simple that I figured it out for myself. I'd imagine you could just replace the stock icons, or use this to create your own theme - I just haven't gotten around to trying that yet.
