App Launcher Theme

I would luv to be able to just have a few icons present on my main screen, with a static button on my dock that launches a window that houses the rest of my apps. Now, if I'm not mistaken, there a few themes like this around (I think the palm perfection theme uses this - but it looked weird when I installed it)

What do I need to download from Cydia to accomplish this, and are those methods compatible with the 3Gs?

You could accomplish this with either Stacks or Categories app in cydia.
