Downloading themes off internet

hey i was wondering that when i download themes off the internet i can download and use the ones that are compressed and i can exstractthem but when one comes up as unknown file and its a RAR file it will not work when i check it on my ipod in winterboard plz help

a Rar file is compressed also with WinRar. If you don't have WinRar I believe you can change the extension and extract or un-zip

I have WinRAR and when i downloads things it opens up with that. And then i dont know how to get the files i have downloaded onto my ipod "/
