I know most remeber the customize opption which lets you change the "slide to unlock text"

Example:

Says "slide to unlock"

With customize change into

"Steves ipod"

why hasnt anyone made this yet and put it in cydia??

Are you using SSH? Let me know and What I want you to do is get your SpringBoard.strings file from /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/ , Zip it up and post it here, then let me know what "strings" you want edited and I will edit them and package them for winterboard. I would just use mine but I am on an iPhone not iPod, which have differnt strings for calls and such..I did write a whole tutorial last night but modMyi went unavailable when I hit submit post...

access the filesystem to add, change or remove files. Download and install "open ssh" from cydia.

If you are on PC download iPhoneBrowser
If you are on mac you can use Cyberduck

Either way this provides a way of accessing the file system to make these changes.
