GIMP problem

i downloaded gimp and want to make a sig. but i didnt like the fonts that they had so i downloaded a couple of them and now i want to be able to use them in gimp. but i cant figure out how to get the font in the program. starting to annoy me. if anyone has done this, which im sure someone has, their help would be greatly appreciated.

nevermind.i jus didnt do the one thing that i had looked up and that was restarting gimp. my fault. im an idiot. thanks neways.
