Help with Fonts...

I finally updated to 2.2.1 and want to change my font to Bring tha Noize graffiti font. I downloaded the font and tried to SSH it and replace Helvetica.ttf and HelveticaBold.ttf but nothing happened.

Help ?

if you downloaded them from a certain site, they have to be ported to work on the iphone. just download fontswap from cydia or do a google search for iphone fonts and u should find a forum that is filled with custom fonts.

Wait, if I download FontSwap, how can i get my font in there, because it only has a couple of ones that I don't want to use.

There are some fonts that you can download from Cydia, if not you can place your own fonts into the var/mobile/ Library/FontSwap folders

BUT:

you have to make sure they are named the same as the stock fonts and also that the name metadata in the font files are changed as well. If you have a Windows PC,You can use a font editing program to do this but most cost to buy. Some offer a free trial though and if you just want to do a couple of fonts it might be worthwhile. Never tried this in my Macbook so Im not sure if there is a built in font editor or if you need a third-party package as well.
