how to remove default icon's 'gloss'?

I tried to change default icons of few appstore appz, so I followed this tutorial: Change app store icons - ModMyi - Wiki .
But it doesnt always work, take Wifinder.app for example - I tried to name the folder under /bundles like this:

com.yourcompany.WiFinderZMainWindowXWiFinder
com.yourcompany.WiFinderZMainWindow
com.yourcompany.WiFinder
etc...

and it doesnt work for any of them. The icon still has rectangle and default gloss over it.

So... im asking - do you guys know where is the default rectangle and gloss file? wouldnt it be easier just to edit it and make it transparent?

Create a folder in the theme root called Icons
put the icon you want to change in there.
as far as the name...use the name displayed

Ex:
App Store would be App Store.png
WinterBoard = WinterBoard.png

WiFinder=WiFinder.png
