Applying an SMS Background
I have a really good look to my iPhone going with a really good background, but I want the same background to carry over to my SMS screen. How do I accomplish this? AND, can I edit the bubbles to match?
TIA!

Yeah winterboard is the convenient way to do this.
For the background, name it SMSBackground.png and put right in theme folder.
For the bubbles, name them:
Balloon_1.png for your bubble
Balloon_2.png for other bubble
Put both images in Bundles/com.apple.MobileSMS/<--here
The background image size can be 320x480 and the bubble size is 43x32

Now, when you say "Bundles/com.apple.MobileSMS/", that means create (if there isnt one already) a directory in my theme and name it that?

Yes, name a folder "Bundles" and put in "Your Theme" folder.
In the "Bundles" folder put another folder named "com.apple.MobileSMS"
In "com.apple.MobileSMS" folder add the bubble images.

Nevermind. I used SSH and found another theme with the same dir structure. I figured it out and it looks great!
Where can I find a "stock" set of bubbles though? On here somewhere?
Thanks all!

SMSBackground.png not working
Hey guys, I'm running the 2.2.1 firmware and have found that the SMSBackground.png does not work at all for any themes that I have tested (Buuf and Ed Hardy themes). I am running version 0.9.2693-1, the SMSBackground was introduced in 0.9.25xxx.
Has anyone else been running into this issue? I have verified that the files are readable by everyone and are in the root of the theme folder.
**UPDATE** I have done a complete restore and update to 2.2.1
