    Hey i found a real answer i was helped by doreen and decided to play with the .plist file some more so here is what i got

    changing certain numbers will cause different effetcs such as

    string>hour</string>
    <key>color</key>
    <array>
    <real>1</real><real>0</real><real>0</real><real>1</real>
    </array>

    creats a red hour hand

    string>hour</string>
    <key>color</key>
    <array>
    <real>1</real><real>0</real><real>1</real><real>1</real>
    </array>

    creates a pink hand

    string>hour</string>
    <key>color</key>
    <array>
    <real>1</real><real>1</real><real>0</real><real>1</real>
    </array>

    creates a yellow hand, not usre about the last number i believe changing it to anything but 0 will produce a different color much like choosing a color in photoshop, but i could be wrong.

    have fun with it im curious as to find out what colors peole can find with playing with these numbers

    also changing the bold numbers will change the length of the hand eg: <real>0.0</real><real>-12</real> to <real>0.0</real><real>-30</real>
    will make it longer

    <dict>
    <key>type</key>
    <string>hand</string>
    <key>source</key>
    <string>hour</string>
    <key>color</key>
    <array>
    <real>1</real><real>1</real><real>1</real><real>1</real>
    </array>
    <key>origin</key>
    <array>
    <real>28.5</real><real>28.5</real>
    </array>
    <key>points</key>
    <array>
    <real>0.0</real><real>-12</real>
    <real>2.5</real><real>0.0</real>
    <real>-2.5</real><real>0.0</real>
    </array>
    </dict>
    <dict>
    <key>type</key>
    <string>hand</string>
    <key>source</key>
    <string>minute</string>
    <key>color</key>
    <array>
    <real>1</real><real>1</real><real>1</real><real>1</real>
    </array>
    <key>origin</key>
    <array>
    <real>28.5</real><real>28.5</real>
    </array>
    <key>points</key>
    <array>
    <real>0.0</real><real>-17</real>
    <real>2</real><real>0.0</real>
    <real>-2</real><real>0.0</real>
    </array>

    How do you change the background, too? Is it a graphic? If so, where?

    The LiveClock.png is located at:

    /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

    or you can just create a theme for winterboard file structure should be as follows:

    /Library/Themes/(name of theme)/Bundles/com.apple.springboard/LiveClock.png

    whereas the name of the theme is to be of your liking makes no difference on usability, also no parentheses around your theme name. The LiveClock.png should be the .png of your choice make sure it is spelled exactly as it is written as to avoid any potential bricking problems.

    I've gotten blue with this setup:
    .5
    .2
    1
    1

    Cyan with this one:
    .5
    1
    1
    1

    Fluorescent green with this:
    .5
    1
    0

    Thanks, but the link is referring to the actual lock clock, we're looking at the hands on the LiveClock.app

    Default Live Clock Opening Another Application?
    Is there a way to have liveclock open another alarm clock application? I currently have it working on my iphone 4 4.2.1 with the native clock application. However, I would love to get it to open my Alarmed application since I use that one all of the time.

    Thanks.

    I would love to know if this is possible too. I too use Alarmed every day!
