[lil red wagon]

Ok, so i put on the orbz theme, and made a few of my own icons, now some of them have a black square (or icon shape) behind them, anyone know what this is, or how to get rid of it. I opened them up in photoshop, and it shows only one layer, and no black shape.

its looking for a layered png. im not good in PS, but basically you need to get the main icon part onto it own layer and have a blank background.

You have to use your eraser tool and cut off the edges on your background layer.

I'm having the same problem as stated by lil red wagon above. After reading this thread, I see a suggestion about using the eraser to cut off the edges on my background layer. I can most definately say that is not the problem as I've done this on each icon I've made. However, looking at StaticFX's comment, when you say you need a 'blank' background, so you mean white, or transparant?

Look at the attached screen shots - in particular the icons for Golf Scores, Print n Share, and Good Nite. On the first screeny, these are on my homescreen. In the second screeny, these are in a folder of Categories with no change made to the actual icons themselves.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this issue. I have the same problem and can not work out how to remove the black background icon shape.

Anyone?
