Alright, I scratched the original post. I guess I must of forgot the exact location and thought it was somewhere else, could of sworn I was doing it the same though.

Other questions:
1. Is there a reason Customize won't load up, and instead closes right out as soon as it opens?
2. If I can't get Customize to open up, how would I change the system strings. I just want to change the 'slide to unlock/power off/slide to answer' texts.

Go to private/var/stash/theme....and upload your theme there.
