COMPLETELY Clear Lock Screen
HowTo achieve this effect:
iPhone firmware 2.x.x ONLY; try it on 1.x and BRICK YOUR PHONE.
US iPhone users only, UK France and others have a more complicated way of doing this, that I may address in another post (it requires different editing of SpringBoard strings and .plist file).
It's EASY to do, I just have a lot of steps so the noobs can get it, I mean, I was one once too :P
I've been trying to find out how to do this for months, and finally did.
But I had to search on the internet for hours, and dig through countless forum pages that had nothing but people saying "How do I install a theme?".
It's simple, just FOLLOW the steps.
Also I'm putting things in CAPS because it will minimize questions for people that skip to step 4 and ask about step 2.
So I'm putting it all here!
STEPS TO HIDE THE IMAGES AND SLIDER ON THE HOMESCREEN:- In Cydia, locate and download and install "Best Clear Lockscreen".
- Unzip "Clear Slide/Tap" here.
- Decide whether you want to tap the bottom 1/5 of the screen to unlock (suggested) or wether you want to slide (on and invisible slider).
- Move either the "Clear Slide" or "Clear Tap" theme to your themes folder located at "/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx"
- Apply both the "Best Clear Lockscreen" and "Clear Slide/Tap" in Winterboard, but don't close winterboard yet.
- "Clear Slide/Tap" MUST BE on top of "Best Clear Lockscreen" in winterboard. "Best Clear Lockscreen" and "Clear Slide/Tap" MUST BE at the top of the list as well, so drag them to the top.
- Respring (by closing winterboard) and view your lockscreen.
STEPS TO HIDE THE CLOCK:
LISTEN CAREFULLY CAUSE THIS IS WHAT BRICKS PEOPLE IPHONES IF YOU DO IT WRONG!!!- Open the folder "/System/Library/Fonts/Cache".
- Locate the copy the file "LockClock.ttf" to a safe folder on your computer (this is your backup).
- Don't close your SSH, cause you're not done.
- Download and unzip this file.
- Put the "LockClock.ttf" from the ZIP FILE in the "Cache" folder overwriting the file that already exists there.
STEPS TO HIDE THE DATE:
This is the part that differs from country to country, but we're just dealing with US.- Open the folder "/system/library/frameworks/UIKit.framework/DateFormats"
- By now you good old original US iPhone users might be saying, "Well Luke, there's no EN playlist file!" Fear not, you just have to make one
or rather, use mine because I'm such and amazing person I'm supplying it for you! - Download and unzip this file.
- Copy the "en.plist" from the ZIP FILE file to the folder. It won't overwrite anything (because the default for iPhone is en) but it will do the trick.
You MUST now do a HARD RESTART by holding the power button RESPRING WON'T DO IT!
THANK me if this did the trick for you.
Also this background is available for you to use on your lock screen here.
Keywords: remove the clock and date from the lock screen, lockscreen, nothing on the lock screen just iphone background.Last edited by DuhImChuck; 12-30-2008 at 03:14 PM.

Im not 100% sure what you're referring to, but if that was a racist remark then this is not the place for things like that. Quite frankly, what you wrote disgusts me, and I am not an overly sensitive person on the subject either.
I suggest you remove, or clarify, your comment before a moderator sees it.

if i would of said white girl would of have been racist? no. i dont know her name, so how am i supposed to call her out? look at her nose, its ugly, her eye lash is poking out, which makes it uneven, and her lipstick is all jagged. Thats why she ruins it... people need to calm down.

Saying she was white would be racist also. I look at however things are as they. Just people.... Everyone remember the presidential campaign Barack Obama a black person running president. Thats a racist remark right there also, even though its true.I understand why they'd say it. However, he 's just another person... and GO BARACK OBAMA!!! Get what I'm trying to say? You mention a color and it can be taken as racism in whatever way. So, lets just leave this at peace and move on; like the good community that we are.

Yes, if you'd said white girl I would have taken it the same way.
This is why I asked you to CLARIFY or remove your comment.
If you don't think it's racist, that fine, but you should phrase it in a way that most people wouldn't take it offensively.
If you'd said the black girl ruins it because her eyelash sticks out...etc then it wouldn't have been offensive.
Why?
Because most people wouldn't have taken insult to that.
You can't say something like "Hitler was great" and not expect to have a sh** storm, even if you have your reasons.
Now, DONE, everyone just focus on my tutorial XP.Last edited by DuhImChuck; 12-30-2008 at 05:06 AM.
