New iPhoneShop 1.22.4 supports all 2.2 artwork + winterboard naming
!!!New Update Again
Hi , i updated the iphoneshop to version 1.22.4.
Which now supports emoji, Japanese and Chinese winterboard filenaming thanks to Ice9812.
So here is whats possible:
Extracts/Imports all firmware artwork files up to 2.2,
In 2.2 it Extracts/Imports the Keyboard-Emoji File, the new Ukrainian Keyboard artwork and the updated Other Artwork file, Chinese and Japanese Keyboards.
The following import/export the png files with winterboard naming:
Other, Keyboard-Emoji, Keyboard-Common, Keyboard-Latin, Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Russian/Ukrainian Keyboard and MobilePhonePackedImages.
The Import/Export Bat files now includes the MobilePhonePackedImages command lines.
Dont ask how to use this program , search the forum, there is loads of info.
Be sure to have latest Java Installed.
NOTE For Japanese Keyboard modding:
One of the Japanese png file named "jkb-3x3-return-Unknown.png" is unknown to me. I have found more names then images so i dont know what it is. Everything else should be ok.
Here is the latest App: iPhoneShop-1.22.4.rar

you dont open the .jar file you have to create folders for the artwork files you open to put the files into....
if your gonna open other.artwork you create a folder named Other in the same folder as the .jar and export import files and you put the other.artwork in that folder to and click on export....send me a pm and ill help you get it set up
i know i dont explain it to well but here is part of a screenshot ...this is what your folder should look like..so the files from other.artwok will be put into the other folder and the files from keyboard emoji will be put into keyemoji and so on for any .atrwork files you want to openLast edited by Ice9812; 11-29-2008 at 07:39 PM.

Yeah, i was gonna link to that guide too but this download actually comes with scripts to do the extraction and recompile for you, but that guide is useful if you want to extract artwork from files other than the miscellaneous keyboard.artwork files and the other.artwork file (because those are the only ones the script automatically extracts).

I have updated My 1st Post with a newer iPhoneShop:
iPhoneShop 1.22.2
Now the MobilePhonePackedImages.artwork extracts the images using winterboard naming.
And the Import/Export Bat files include the MobilePhonePackedImages command lines.

This is wonderful. Thank you so much. Now where are these artwork files? In the UIKit folder I can only find the Common, Emoji, Latin, and Other artwork files. Doe any one know where the other languages reside?

The other language keyboards are in
root/System/Library/TextInput/TextInput_XX.bundle
Where the letters XX are replaced with one of the following language initials:
ja = Japanese
ko = Korean
ru = Russian
uk = Ukrainian
zh = Chinese.
Chase817 i know it works for Windows but i am not sure if it works on mac systems. Have you tried it?
Remember to update java to the latest version and then give it a try.Last edited by massimo23; 12-22-2008 at 06:57 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Thanks Massimo. Sorry to be such a pest. I now found the TextInput bundles and it does include the _ja.artwork. But apparently there is another japanese keyboard? According to your bat file there are two:
Keyboard-Japanese.artwork
TextInput_ja.artwork
Can you point me to the Keyboard-Japanese.artwork file?
