Cydia updates

I have a theme posted on Cydia and wanted to update! 2 questions do I just repost the updated theme and Cydia takes care of the rest? or do I need to let someone know its and update.
Also I have added a bunch of icons and wasnted to know if there is a list somewhere of current popular apps so I can have a current theme? One of my biggest pet peeves is installing a theme that says 1000 icons yet the only ones that are current on my phone are my originals.
