customize help.

Hey, i just joined here and i figured this would be the best place to learn/ get advice on what i should do. i have a jailbroken 1.1.5 iPod touch 16GB and i have the customize 2.0 app but it wont let me apply any themes or any other little changes to it. when i run customize,
1. in the theme browser tab there are no new themes
2.customize images/sounds...nothing
3.edit system strings also contains nothing.

i have downloaded SUID Lib fix.
I really do not want to pay $10 to update to fw2.2 and i try to install summerboard and it gives me an error message.

Help a newb out, please.

Why would you pay $10. ? Also don't download summerboard, download winterboard. ones you have the themes in there they should auto show up in customize.
