Using your own blackgorund and sliders when a theme is used...

How would I do it...I downloaded a theme and it changed my background and sliders to the themes. I only want the icons...i tried using user wallpaper, use lock background but still it doesnt work...can anyone help me!?

SSH into the theme and extract the Icons folder and then swap it out with the Icon folder in the theme you are currently using.
