Creating Icons...

Hello All,

Does anyone know where I can learn to create icons for the iphone? There is a theme that I have on my phone and need more icons as it seems like the developer of the theme stop creating them, so I would like to just do it myself it possible.

Any help, would be much appreciated.

Any .png image will work as an icon, just make it the right size. I believe the standard icons are 60x60, while themes like Stereo's Leopard are 80x80.

What theme is it you need icons for?

It's called FRESH. But, I would have to create them for that theme wouldn't I? How do I go about doing that?

the thread for that theme says the download includes an icon template, I havent downloaded it myself, but I would assume its a .psd file, which would be for use in Photoshop. Basically it would have the blue part a,d the shiny part, and a place for you to add you own image and text.

That's just it...not sure where to even begin, cause I don't really understand how and what to do. Do you have any insight? Do you create icons yourself? Would you be interested in earning some $$.

You need to use Photoshop to open the template.psd that comes with the Fresh theme. At that point you need to either find neat pictures that go with the icon or create pictures yourself using photoshop. It will be pretty much hard for you to create this stuff without knowing how to use and having Photoshop.

what icons do you need?

I wouldn't mind doing a couple icons, but not 100 or so

Another option would be to find one from the leaf theme, and just change the hue to match the blue of the fresh theme. I think the 2 are pretty much the same just a different color arent they?
