Blank Apps 2.1 iPhone 3g

Hello!

Anyone had success with the blank apps? I have tried countless times and I'm almost ready to give up.

I have a:
iPhone 3G
2.1 Firmware (5F136)
Modem Firmware 02.11.07
Model: A1241

I basically need the files (if) you have successfully used and step by step instructions to make them work.
I do know how to SSH.

Woops, yea. The applications don't do anything (don't open) have a transparent icon and are located on the springboard.

No, I do not want the steffwiz transparent icons for the bookmarks located on the springboard

I just downloaded one today from Cydia and it does the job for me. Just make sure you have Steffwiz's source installed.

EDIT: Oops -- I guess I should have read a bit closer...

I love quoting myself. Steffwiz bookmarks have two problems: 1) they open 2)they dont even have bookmarked pages in them.

I just checked and the blank app does open -- hmm....

Well, it's not a big deal for me; I just needed a placeholder so that my home page would be empty.

except i do have some icons in the dock now... this theme was made on an iPhone 2G with 1.1.4 firmware. Now I own a 3G as described in the first post

Try reading. They said they do not want the blank bookmarks, They want icons that do not open and still have a transparent icon. Not the cydia type

I wouldn't mind these as well. Hate tapping clear space and having safari open

They have been made in the past, and I have my 1.1.4 blank icons however, i can only use 11 in total on 2.1 firmware and they only work on the iPhone 2G, not on the 3G

who cares if they open safari? Unless you have parkinsons disease, a nervous tick, an uncontrollable urge or a strange habit of touching the empty spots on your springboard for fun, then it shouldnt be a problem(and if you do have parkinsons, sorry). Ive been using them for weeks and havent accidentally touched them. Infact I didnt know they did anything till now. LOL

What I did when I was on 2.1 was I chose an app that I didn't mind hiding

I chose MakeItMine, I put it in the first position on a page. I replaced the icon file with a transparent png.
Then I went into the .plist file and just changed then name it displayed.
It was "MIM" I changed it to " " and then it was blank. But when I clicked on the blank spot I could change carrier name/etc.
