cant change wallpaper

have a jailbroken 2.0 iphone 3g. im using winterboard and used customized. at first the message tone wont change. even if i use winterboard to change the received message tone. it always use the tri-tone (default), so i try unchecking all the settings ive made on the winterboard, then running the default theme on customized. now i cant change the lock screen wallpaper as well as the sms alert tone . please help...
