iPhoneShop 1.2 for firmware 2.1 all artwork support
Updated iPhoneShop to latest 2.1 firmware, all keyboards have been changed except the Other artwork and MobilePhonePackedImages artwork files.
Should be 100 % accurate, thanks to NueroStar i was able to modify a java file "UIKitParser.class" inside iPhoneShop to decrypt the sizes and offsets of the artwork png files instantly.
THANKS NeuroStar YOU MADE MY JOB TOO EASY NOW...ha ha.

I'm really glad that you can finally manage UIKitparse.
Now, only thing I hope to see is correct file names for pngs.
As you know, pngs have file names in it's executable file and it is being used in the WinterBoard. When I make a artwork skin for the Winterboard, I had to change file names.
If you can modify the UIKitParse to parse file names for each pngs, It will be the perfect.
I appreciate for updating iphoneshop for 2.1.

This version extracts the artwork png files with the appropriate name, for use with winterboard.
This feature is supported Only on 2.1 and excludes chinese and japanese keyboard artworks for now.

If there is someone that can help me with the naming list for the chinese keyboard i will update the app. I Have the list but it needs to be ordered following the order of the iPhoneShop images.

Ok now im getting closer to what im looking for...
i didnt want to start a thread and have the nubie check the old thread attacks but, im still coming up stumped for my specific wants.
i want to 'hard" theme, basically default my theme to my custom theme.
example: i renamed all of vivid theme icons to icon.png and put them into each apps folder to overwrite the default one, now w/o winterboard my icons are always vivid. i did the same with sms bubbles, ui sounds, ringtones, weather background etc. i basically dont want winterboard as it causes quite a bit of lag and no matter what firmware update i get it still takes 10 seconds to get to my sms, camera, ipod etc. im assuming its winterboard processing the themes such as chromium iphone, glossy keyboard. winterboard does its job dont get me wrong, but if any of you know/where i can drop off the glossy keyboard layout (not using theme/winterboard but into the appropriate folder to overwrite the default)) i'd greatly appreciate it.

So you want the old way... the iphoneshop way...haha
First the following 3 artwork files are in the folder "root/System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework"
That is Other.artwork, Keyboard-Common.artwork and keyboard-Latin.artwork.
The Other.artwork file contains mostly images of the iPhone GUI like
Top Bars, Bottom Bars, Buttons, Switches, etc.
The Keyboard artworks contains the images of all the different Keyboards ( Landscape mode, Portait Mode, Numeric KeyPad, etc.)
One thing to REMEMBER about artwork files is that the png image files extracted from the artwork files HAVE TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME in dimensions, so if an image is 20x20 then it must stay that way.
Winterboard does not have this limit.
Once you have these files use iPhoneShop to extract the images, modify them and then import them back again.
Remember to put the artwork files in the same folder where iPhoneShop.jar is.
And also the newly imported artwork file will be found in the same folder were your png image files are.
So if i mod the keyboard-Latin.artwork png files which are in the folder KeyLat my new artwork is in here also.

thanks, helps a lot toward the direction i'm going, just cant get past the error after opening iphoneshop. i found an iphonebrowser while searching for iphoneshop which made things tons easier than winscp+iphonetunnel for changing icons. i took a stab at replacing the default dialer pad with iphonebrowser, it doesn't show any change on my phone. although when i yank out the png to my desktop it shows it as the 1 i wanted. anyone know if its possible to find the maker of the chromium iphone, ask to have it done the hard way, have the folder emailed to me then i could drop it into mobilephone.app and it should overwrite default.
ps
i managed to change the call, delete, add contact buttons so far. i think my biggest frustration is how chromium iphone theme has named everything in its folders. there isn't equivalent names to match + it has so many other images i cant find places forLast edited by grc; 10-05-2008 at 12:23 PM.
