How to make Slide to Unlock Completely transparent?
Is there anyway to make the "Slide to Unlock" text, the slider and the frame completely transparent? I have a awesome Joker wallpaper but the "Why so serious?" is hidden by the slider

This is the pic:

If you hide it, do you just slide where it would be to unlock? I know, seems like a dumb question.

I cant edit the Springboard.strings. I tried to convert but all i get back is a blank file. Could you be kind enough to upload it for me?
System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/Springboard.strings
And converted using Convert Apple Property list from binary to text XML
When I try to convert, it returns a 0kb file

Google for Plist Editor Pro (free) instead of doing the terminal thing, much easier.

can you put the why so serious part on the slider instead of slide to unlock. I know you can edit strings with customize but dunno how to change the font.

Nevermind guys. Found an excellent site to convert plist.
Binary — XML .plist converter - iAppCat
Not my bottom of the pic is completely empty. So i got to guess where the slider is lol. It is harder then it sounds. All I have to do now is to remove the date and clock.

I'm on windows and can't open or convert the .strings file, can anyone help???
Could you please enlighten the rest of us on how you did this.... I can finally edit the strings, but I can't reconvert to binary and my strings are REALLY messed up if I leave in a plist format..........
Thanks........Last edited by rsx664; 08-20-2008 at 06:29 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
