Removing shadow from App Store icons

I cannot take any credit for this except for finding the link.
MacThemes Forum / [Artwork] Other.Artwork Mod 2.0 (UPDATED)
It consists of a file that has been modded to allow the shadow of App Store apps to be removed so personalized icons can be used.

There was another thread that has been working for me. Hopefully it doesn't suddenly stop.

Someone else posted this I followed and so far GREAT!

I used WinSCP, and accessed the winterboard themes directory, I am using the Time of Day theme, I added a folder called Icons, then I copied the icons I wanted into it and named them accordingly, eBay, Photos, etc... All has been working great!

this file is only needed if you have a shadow around your icons which is what happened to me

ROFLMAO!! It's not showing a shadow cause your icon is covering it up. LOL It's still there, if you change that to a round icon you would see it.

once and for all, the other.artwork file has 3 png's that are used for appstore apps (see photos)

this png is the shadow:

this png is the overlay:
Click the image to open in full size.

and this will round the corners if the original is square:

I did not mod these apps on this page beyond removing these 3 pngs that are listed above.

Click the image to open in full size.

if you download this (which I got from Saurik) you can see the pngs for yourself.

these are their names:

Winterboard safely removes the extra shine and shadowing. Update your winterboard if it isnt currently working for you...

I downloaded the facebook app, and I can get the original icon to change.
so the problem is not with the app itself.
I can not try vicinity because it is not free but my I guess is it will change too.
