Default Change black/white Top-bar on springboard to fancy one

    Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the default black/white top bar (the one with the connection strenght wifi bluetoot alarm battery etc.) to the i.m.o. better looking coloured bar you see in the most apps.

    so it looks like this:

    tnx Mike

Nobody knows if it's possible with winterboard or by editing some plist ??

Go to root/system/core services/springboard/english and replace the FST_BG.png, FSO_BG.png, Default_BG.png. Use Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop!

this is how it looks by default:

this is how i want it to look:

hope anyone can help me with this please?

I have downloaded all the .png files from springboard.app folder but I can't seem to edit the files with photoshop... Can anyone explain me how to edit these files.

Apple doesn't make the png files readable without a fix. Go to the Search box at the top of the page and type in "edit png", you will find a bunch of threads relating to this process.
