Change black/white Top-bar on springboard to fancy one

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the default black/white top bar (the one with the connection strenght wifi bluetoot alarm battery etc.) to the i.m.o. better looking coloured bar you see in the most apps.

so it looks like this:

Nobody knows if it's possible with winterboard or by editing some plist ??

Go to root/system/core services/springboard/english and replace the FST_BG.png, FSO_BG.png, Default_BG.png. Use Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop!

Tnx but that does not completely change it cause the icons on that bar also have to change from black/white to the coloured ones and also the fonts have to change to black in stead of white.

this is how it looks by default:

Apple doesn't make the png files readable without a fix. Go to the Search box at the top of the page and type in "edit png", you will find a bunch of threads relating to this process.
