iPhone application icon dev kit (.psd)

Howdy!

I'm a new member here and I'm looking forward to receiving and sharing iPhone development ideas and such with all of you.

I just thought I'd start off by sharing a .psd file that allows easy creation of an iPhone application icon. Just drop in your logo, adjust the hue, and you're done. Shadows, glare, etc. are all nearly pixel perfect with the current iPhone icons.

If you mirror the psd file, please host it on your own servers and just a link back to the blog would be fantastic. A shout out if you use the icons yourself would be nice, I'm trying to get a little traffic flow to the blog.

If anyone has any requests, I'll do what I can. It's unfortunate not much is known as far as development, so I'm flying blind until I procure an iPhone.

I like the digg icon. Hopefully we'll be able to edit the iPhone menu soon or Apple will release an actual SDK and not this AJAX/Web 2.0 crap.

wow great i can't wait to try this. is there any chance of bricking the iPhone doing this? and hopefully i should be able to use all my icons i used on my Pearl so i got alot of icons hehe O 1 more thing changing the icon doesn't change the name under it right?

There is a chance of brickin your phone but because of the restore feature in itunes no one has had any major problems yet but everyone here who has done it has had a pretty good experience.if anything wet wrong they were able to restore it. But read all you can on the subject from those links and make your own desion. Let me tell ya once you get it working its really cool.
