SMS Text Balloon Colors

Anyway to change these if so how? And are there any downloads of different colors? How to create and putfile info also?... Any help greatly appreciated! - Thanks!

yea i want to know where to put my ballon files in cuz i got 2 and i have no idea where to place it in

The color of the SMS balloons resides in the same directory as the SMS Application. The files are named Balloon_1.png and Balloon_2.png.
Balloon_1.png is the color of YOUR text and Balloon_2.png is the color of the INCOMING text.
cd /Applications/MobileSMS.app
putfile Balloon_1.png
putfile Balloon_1.png

Attached are the two colors I use and I'm sure there are more out there.

I havn't tried it, but you could open up each ballon in photoshop and change the opacity to 100% so that it can't be seen.

I use WinSCP to SSH copy the png files from my iPhone but I cannot view them! When I try to open them in photoshop, it says it cannot parse the file.

Am I doing something wrong?

I believe you have to use a program (fixpng) to make the .png files from the iphone viewable. try doing a search on here or on google. you should be able ti find it.

Thanks to mzkaye729. I've found the program called fixpng. It didn't come up easily searched on google so I will post the link to the program here.

It fixes the PNG files copied from your iPhone to your PC, making the PNG files readable on your PC.

im avin trouble changing my balloons, i plug my iphone in and open the iphone browser, no options came up down the left side so i opened 'go to location' and went to 'icon and sms' and an error came up saying that it was not possible to open location have you carried out a sucssful jailbreak?

why is it saying this i have jaibroken my iphone?!

Notice The incoming text bubble is pointed away (Blue One)

There is an easier way. Cydia has text ballons. Type "texts" or "ballons" in Cydia search. You need to search on both because you will get different results for them.

There are blue, purple, gray, and more.

Download and turn them on in winterboard

On a dutch forum (SMS balloons - iPhone Forum - alles over de Apple iPhone en iPhone 3G) there were posted some bubbles by Croiman :

But now I would like to combine, for example, the blue balloon with the little guy in it. Something like :

Is there anyone out there who can help me out, because I keep having problems with the transparancy.
