Kv8, I dont know what carrier telenor is with regards to the iphone. Like when you go to select carrier does it come up telenor? or do you select att and it just works. basically what carrier logo shows up now? If you have a network listed below replace those files and it should show up.

here are the folders and their corresponding carriers:

20801 = Orange F
20802 = Orange F
20808 = Orange F
22201 = TIM
23402 = O2-UK
23410 = O2-UK
23411 = O2-UK
26201 = T-Mobile - This is the only one I edited even though there are multiple folders with t-mobile and it worked so it may work on others.
26206 = T-Mobile
310150 = AT&T/Cingular
310170 = AT&T/Cingular
310180 = AT&T/Cingular
310380 = AT&T/Cingular
310410 = AT&T/Cingular
310980 = AT&T/Cingular
311180 = AT&T/Cingular

Okay, I know this is a stupid question to some and I am sure some of you will tell me to just use the search function but I honestly have and was unable to find an answer to this question. I have a jailbroken iPhone but for the life of me I can not get my carrier logo changed with MIM. What do I have to do (programs required) to gain access to the systems folder/ect. So that I may be able to alter my carrier logo?

cyberduck, don't know mac proggies but think that'll work.

as for MIM, I think its text only mod.
just follow guide at top of thread and your golden. it worked for me.

I edited Customize to change my carrier image on FW 1.1.3 and 1.1.4.

Origianally, in the older firmwares, if you wanted to change the carrier logo (w/o Customize) you had to migrate to "/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app" and replace the "FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png" and "Default_CARRIER_ATT.png" to your custom images but in 1.1.3, this has changed....

Now, in order to change your logo, migrate to "/System/Library/Carrier Bundles/ATT_US.bundle" and replace the images "FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png" and "Default_CARRIER_ATT.png" to your custom images. Restart your iPhone, and your set!

NOTE: The other carrier logos are also found in the "/System/Library/Carrier Bundles/" directory.

This doesn't seem to be working for me...
I'm in Australia and my network is Optus, and it shows "YES OPTUS" as my carrier in the top left hand corner.

I have tried changing the CarrierName string to Optus, optus, YES OPTUS, yes optus, and various other things. Can someone please help and tell me what I should be doing...

Dude. That was ages ago. I was trying to set up my phone for 2 separate carriers, I use 2 SIM cards. I wanted the logo to change for the different carrier. If I change it to AT&T it would always be the same. Besides, I got this working. Go find some more people to tell about you "awesome discovery." Double posting noob.

Well, I just came to Canada for a little and now my T-Mobile carrier became CAN Rogers Wireless Inc. How do I change the carrier image for this???

Worked perfectly for me. Changed the AT&T files in the ATT folder and it switched them all. Thanks a lot

Hi ! Here's a method that actually works for everyone (In/Outside US)

NOTE: PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP OR YOUR ORIGINAL FILES

Instructions:
Step 1: Download "MakeItMine" application off of Installer.

Step 2: Using your favorite SHH program, replace the files in /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/ATT_US.bundle with your custom Default_CARRIER_ATT.png and FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png files.

Step 3: Also replace the files with the ones in /var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundle.bundle

Step 4: Disconnect from ssh and reboot the iPhone.

Step 5: Next, go to the MakeItMine application you downloaded earlier and input the following: "AT&T" or "CINGILAR" and select 'set'.

That's all! Enjoy!
