i cant get winscp to connect 'timed out'. and iphonebrowser doesnt let me set permissions so all i get is a crashing app once i put it on my 2.0 FW with my 1st Gen 8gb iPhone. i use XP by the way. is the another SSH program? i tried putty. i installed, uninstalled, re-installed, rebooted, re sprung, etc., etc... any help or ideas? or a link? thanks.

still waiting 4 MMS......come'on Swirly...

another ssh program wont fix your problem. Winscp should work just make sure you have all your settings right. The host name is your phones ip address. The user name is root [lowercase] and the password is alpine [lowercase]. Also make sure you have openssh installed through cydia, and make sure its on using boss prefs. Then i leave my phone on the homescreen so i can see my wifi is connected because when i lock my phone it goes to edge sometimes.

If you still have a problem try giving winscp access through firewall. If still have problem then re download and install winscp. [make sure your an administrator]

If you still have problems i cant help

Yes I ChModded. So thats not the problem. Program crashes at click when its not chmodded correctly.

Customize crashes on open? Try registering your device
1. Go to: Customize, a native iPhone application by The Spicy Chicken
2. Login/register
3. Make sure to enter the serial number just as it is on your phone. (Its on the about screen or the sim card holder, or box)
4. Launch customize (you may need to open another app to completelty close customize)
5. Enjoy customize for 2.0!

I can confirm that your serial number must be registered for customize 2.1. I had to create a new account to get my old 2G not to crash. The only problem I have now is that I can only change the customize icon. It gives me an error when I try to apply them to stock.

Did you ever register the sn with customize? You dont need to again, just register if you havent before. I changed mine from my 2G to 3G, and needed another account to for both the 2G and 3G to work at the same time
