Homescreen Icon Text

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone had any idea how to change the text for the icons on the homescreen of the iPhone.

(For example: changing SMBPrefs to Summerboard)

just ssh into the phone and rename the folder
example: SMBPrefs.app changed to Summerboard.app

and viola its changed. only works for 3rd party apps tho. the original iphone apps need to be changed through either a plist or sumthing

Be warned you may break your apps. Many are hard coded to use the dirs they are in.

I don't know why people always say to change the name of the folder.

All you need to do is edit the LocalizedApplicationNames.strings.
