Custom Boot Screen File Size Limits
Hey there everyone, I've been working on what I'd like to be my boot and recovery screens for my custom firmware but I'm having a really difficult time keeping the file size under 100kb in a png file. Can anyone help me get these squished down in size?
Also: is it possible to replace the low battery screen?

Well looking at the tutorial (I don't have acess to a Mac right this moment) it say it has to be a PNG at 320*480 under 100kb.

In making custom logos for my 1.1.4 phone, I discovered that I could only successfully use a file of about 64K or smaller . For some reason in the process of applying the boot or restore image, Winpwn would make the file larger. Winpwn interpreted an 84K file as being 115 K or something like that.
My most recent logo had to be made smaller than full screen in order to get it to a small enough size. Also you can save the file as PNG-8 instead of PNG-24 if you have to. The easiest logos are the ones that are a fairly small graphic on a black transparent background. The ones with full color backgrounds are bit harder to get small enough.
If I've helped you, you can help me by clicking on that Thanks button.

IF you want it to work on your iPhone, it has to be below 102 kb
Made some myself, but just adding a colored background makes the file too big
