Does anyone know if you're able to add themes to iPhone 3G. I just PWNED my phone and I want to add some themes. Anyone know how?

so far, that I know of, no you can't theme the iPhone 3G, yet. gotta wait till Summerboard and Customize are recompiled to work with 2.0.

Wrong, you can, you just have to do it manually, one icon at a time.

Well I stand corrected. What about putting an actual wallpaper, instead of just having a black background. That's all I really want.

Bummer, that's all I really want. I mean I don't mind custom themes, but custom wallpapers is top on my wishlist.

Do you think that apple knew that the background would be the one thing people would really want to change so made it difficult? I don't understand why changing the wallpaper could not change the background in a non jailbroken phone.

Following a method described in another thread I was able to
sort of have custom wallpaper on my firmware 2.0 phone. I replaced one icon with my
wallpaper which has cutouts for the other icons.

You can still skin the old fashioned way like when the 1st gen phone came out. Your icons just have to include a cut out of the background. The old MMi skinner used to generate the themes in this style 4 you.
