This is the same solution that everyone else has provided - so don't get excited. However, I've been looking through the source of freeboard and am hoping to try to get an implementation of it on the 2.0 firmware, so unless Kate or Summerboard gets released first, we'll at least have something decent shortly. But I'm not making any ridiculous promises like 'tomorrow.' Sorry, by tomorrow, I mean, three days from now.

Noi cutouts are needed and the icon labels are ALL there...

If you don't like it, just don't install it..

i like it and im using it, thanks - mod/hack/patch/workaround/fix whatever you want to call it, it works and for now its only option, so shut the firetruck up if your compalining.

I'm not using it, and I'm trying to create something that's actually a really solid, good solution, that allows you to change the wallpaper on the go - explain to me how that's a bad thing. At least I didn't copy everyone else's idea and put it out as the 'new best thing' lol.

Anyways, I don't have time for that crap. If you're not going to admit that it's nothing new, then whatever, go have your 15 minutes of fame. Hope you feel good about yourself.

In the realm of actually important and new news regarding the wallpaper - I'm finding the freeboard source is very complex, but I'm starting to understand the method they used to get the function implemented. It's surprisingly easy and I'm working on getting it implemented on the 2.0 firmware. I'll keep you guys updated with my progress!

I did not steal anyone's idea.
Maybe improved the idea would be right.
That's what this forum is about. To see what others do and work with those ideas, improve them and show that.

But honestly I came up with the idea talking with a friend..
We both are moderators in the biggest german forum.

I saw the idea on this forum when I posted mine.

The nice thing is that no cutouts are needed.

And at the moment it is the best solution to have a wallpaper.
If you have a better idea tell us about it. We would all love to see it.

I would be happy if someone came up with a better idea.

All I do here is show my modifications.

There is no winning or loosing.
I have come up with some really crazy ideas and people love, use, change, improve these ideas.

I also see crazy ideas from other people and I also love, use, change and try to improve these..

So if you are so confident that you can do better...

Any1 know any news on summerboards release on 2.0? I really dont like how customize works on 1.1.4. (im not on 2.0 and hvnt tried the new customize)

theres this new thing called winterboard out, open source..and works

although, I am having probs with the dock part
originally it worked fine, but then i tried to add the dock back on top, and now I have a black background for the dock part. im hoping I can find and update the dock image...but idk where it is

Well people that do not use Winterboard (like me) still should be able to use this right?

Winterboard does not change the dock and statusbar the way they should look

So why close it down.
