Change font color for springboard icon labels?
Is it possible to change the font color for spring board icon labels? If so, how would i go about doing it?
Thanks in advance!

Sure, it's possible.
Disassemble SpringBoard using otool or IDA Pro to find out what messages SpringBoard uses to display the text for icons.
Write a program like SummerBoard to be injected into SpringBoard that replaces the above messages with your own code that picks up the color for the icon text from another source.
Install your program and enjoy!

Yes Kate does it, you can change font type, color and size. Here is a screenshot I posted before:

You can even change font, color and size for the calender icon.Don't be shy if I helped you use the Thanks button, I do it.

This will answer your question: RiP Dev: Kate (Theme Extensions)
Basicly you put a info.plist in your theme's folder and play with it to your liking.Don't be shy if I helped you use the Thanks button, I do it.

Oh, there is a ton of misinformation here. You can change it. Cydia has a bunch of font colors. You can look for them. Type in font and then a color and you should find it. Pick basic colors. If you want something different, then download one of the fonts from Cydia and ssh into you phone. Find the font theme, open it up. download the plist file. then swap the hex number for the current font for what you want.
My font is light purple.

So I got the notes font to change but not the color. How do you get the notes app font color to change?
I just realized that the font color does go black when you open the note or add to the note, but on the main note screen where all of your notes are listed row by row it shows the original font color which is the brownish orange. Maybe I'll just have to live with that???Last edited by phatboyfromla; 07-29-2009 at 01:17 PM.

Sorry to raise an old thread. Can you modify the SBSettings font colour in the same way?
