can you ignore a broken silent button so it still rings?

the 1st time i drop a phone in my life is this one and it breaks the only button on the damn thing

! is there a way to make it so it still ring even though i broke the ringer/silent button and it'son the silent position? it would be great to fix this thing...

restore and take to the apple store dont charge your battery the night before so its low in the morn and say your battery life has gone down hill same happened to me

did it work for u? i get the feeling they will just say there is a lil scratch next to the button and that im screwed n have to shell out another $200 for a new one.
