The future of SummerBoard/Skins

Do you guys think SummerBoard will be able to skin legit App Store programs once the 2.0 jailbreak is out? I want to get to work on my iToons theme again but I don't want to invest time on legit apps if the icons won't show up.

Additionally, do you think dialpad/keyboard/etc app skins will change at all for 2.0? I'd like to make some of those too..

That is a good question. I am sure they will be able to change the legit apps though.. it takes a lot to stop people around these forums.. lol.

well like installer, all the apps you download would have to be downlaoded to /Applications so its just a matter of replacing .pngs right?

Not sure. Cause the old apps were ".app" right? I think they were..

And these will be Apples ".ipa" I think.. so I have no idea if they will be different or more protected or what...

I thought all SummerBoard did was temporarily replace the .png's of the icon. No reason why it couldn't do this with legit apps - unless it's break the authorization certificate?
