[Windows] Guide to uploading carrier logos

Note: This works for FW 1.0.2 and 1.1.1. I'm fairly sure 1.1.3 it's a different process.

I threw together a guide for uploading carrier logos for those that don't know how to do it. I chose iPhonebrowser for the tutorial because I don't use iBrickr all that much anymore. Enjoy.....!

This is an awesome step by step guide, anyway you can do one for all of us shlubs that can't figure out how to do the retro dialer?

seems the guide is easy to follow

but my carrier is not ( TMobile, Cingular, ATT, Vodaphone ) my service provider is sun cellular..anyway to change it?

Yes, mi carrier is movistar, im using "makeitmine"; so i can put any text in the carrier field; but I would like to have the movistar logo instead. How to do that?

Hi, yeah I had the same problem. I have Fido carrier and couldn't change to custom logos but did a search and found a springboard patch that fixes this. Apparently theres a patch for whichever firmware your running. I applied the patch for v1.1.1 and voila its now showing great custom logos that the great soulthoughts was kind enough to make for me.

do i need a SSH client to set permission? what if i just applied the patch and dont set the permission?

i did upload carrier logo followed the instruction as it says but i still see at&t

i am using 1.1.3 jailbreak can anyone please help

1.1.3 is going to be different. I'm not sure what to do for that particular firmware.
