how to change background under my icons

please someone help me... ,there's a lot of ways.. but not a real tutorial...(or i miss it)i've changed my icons but still not able to change background...can someone tell me how to do? my os is osx.

There are two popular ways that I can see. One is to create a demo icon that takes up the whole screen that includes your wall paper, icons, text, etc.

The second and my preferred is to create one screen with your icons, text and all, and uses slices to create your icons with the wall paper built in. when you size it right, they all fit together like a puzzle.

Or you could install installer app and then install summerboard from it, then in summerboard settings turn off theme wallpaper, and under advanced turn on wallpaper. The wallpaper alpha slider allows you to determin how opac the wallpaper is behing your icons so that you dont have to "cookie cutter" you images. then you are using the wallpaer you set on your iPhone.
