so i did a search to find animated theme for the iphone and found nothing. I'm looking for themes like the sony ericsson's animated themes. So im wondering if its possible to do this on my own. - i search out animated png files and looks like animated png files are possible. does this mean i can make animated icons? or not possible? has anyone tried this.

I remember the same.. although there is a person working on a PS3 theme that wants to modify the ANTS toy (available through Installer), and have it create the wavy background that's on the PS3 interface. That would require an app running all the time though.. dunno how that will work.

For animated wallpapers use an app called vwallpaper. There is a program being developed for animated icons like when you hold an icon and it jiggles but not sure how soon we'll see that...

seems like that would be a drain on the battery, but i guess your not on the springboard all the time.
