I'm just starting to read up on all of this and I swear I read somewhere that you need a black background and a white background carrier logo image so that it works correct on different screens.

Am I correct or mislead?

I want the slider to be a picture of myself smiling and as I slide my face it turns into a shocked face.. it would be so weird nobody would ever want to steal my iPhone

Has anyone lost their slider while trying to do this? I have no slider and when when i try adding one it gives me a ref12 error

I broke my slider by putting a badly formated file in it's place...but fixed it with an overwrite..

It was kinda nifty ... kinda like the where is they any key!

Slide what to unlock..WTF?

you only have to jailbreak once but if you have done it before then make sure ur slider is in ur phonedmg folder along with the iphoneinterface file. Then run the putfile command exactly as i have it posted at the begining of this thread.

still nothing, I can go into ./iphoneinterface , but when i run putfile /System/Library/Frameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/bottombarknobgray.png I get this this error AFCFileRefWrite: 12

Maybe try removing it then puting it again..

Have done that, have also tried using many different files incase the one i was using was a bad file

no its not you really need no background you have to have some what of an adavaced editor and get rid of the background to where the words are just there on nothing, but dont listen to me im confusing.

what do you guys recommend for the best editing software to make custom carrier logos? My goal is to try and make one and hopefully some buttons on sunday.
