Retro Skin Help

i like the old school television set they used for the youtube icon. i like loring's vintage set, but it's not quite what i'm looking for. i like icons with no background just the object. like the tv or this mailbox someone uploaded.....unfortunately i have no photoshop or design skills....

anyone working on anything like this?

managed to created this rotary phone icon....not too bad, but it is slightly transparent depending on the background you have it on....

i fixed the transparency issue with the phone...and added two more.
