where do you put your lockscreen in? when you ssh it?
I tried putting it in my themes folder and it didnt work

only thing that came up was the slider

In Library/Themes is right.
And you not activated "LockInfo" or "LockStatus" in Winterboard.
The picture with the Leopard put in Library/Wallpaper and select in iPhone-Settings as Background.
Have you also install LockInfo, LockscreenClock Hide and Statusnotifier from Cydia?
And then you going to iPhone-Settings to LockInfo and select all what you need.

When I put these images into my main theme folder, all I get is icons of these images on my springboard. What am I doing wrong?

I'd change icon colors/opacity to make it feel more natural with the wallpaper.
